Not all tablet presses conform to current IPT or EURO tooling standards. Across the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industry, many manufacturers continue to operate legacy tablet presses, discontinued models, or region-specific designs that require non-standard punches & dies.

We specialize in the manufacture, reverse-engineering, and supply of non-standard tablet tooling for presses that are no longer supported by OEMs or that deviate from internationally standardized dimensions.

Tooling for Discontinued & Legacy Tablet Presses

Several older but reliable tablet presses remain in active production worldwide. Although OEM tooling support may be limited or discontinued, we continue to support these machines with precision-engineered punches and dies, manufactured to match original specifications.

We regularly supply non-standard tooling for legacy presses such as:

  • Kilian tablet presses: e.g. 20/28, 25/32 and similar discontinued formats
  • Ronchi tablet presses: including AR-series machines such as AR18, AR23
  • Other discontinued European or regional tablet press designs where tooling standards pre-date IPT / Euro norms

Our tooling ensures dimensional compatibility and long service life, even on presses that are several decades old.

Non-Standard Tooling for Chinese Tablet Presses (ZP Design)

Many Chinese tablet presses—commonly referred to as ZP-type presses—use tooling that does not conform to IPT or Euro standards.

These presses often feature:

  • Proprietary punch barrel diameters
  • Non-standard head profiles
  • Variations in overall punch length and die dimensions
  • Inconsistent tolerances between manufacturers

We manufacture custom punches & dies for ZP-design tablet presses, ensuring:

  • Accurate fit on existing turrets
  • Improved compression consistency
  • Reduced punch sticking and premature wear

Whether your press has been discontinued or was never built to global standards, we ensure tooling that fits right and performs reliably.
